With its network of coworking spaces, mentors, and learning tools, as well as events and growth programmes for ambitious businesses, Barclays Eagle Labs are here to help the UK’s start-up community scale and succeed. With demand in the health sector growing and reaching near-critical levels, they’re bringing together industry experts, innovators, academics and health and social care providers to support the transformation of the healthcare industry through collaboration, innovation and technology.
Check out two interesting programs focusing on female founders and innovators:
1) the AccelerateHER Awards 2022, organised in collaboration between Barclays Eagle Labs and AccelerateHER. The awards celebrate women excelling in their sector and are split across five regions - Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, North England and South England - with four categories in each region: Science and MedTech; FinTech, Data Science and Cybersecurity; CleanTech, Climate and Net Zero; and Disruptive Innovation. The category winners in each of five regions will receive a mentoring package from Investing Women Angels and get the opportunity to take part in one of AccelerateHER’s international market building missions. In addition to becoming part of the AccelerateHER community, applicants will have the opportunity to receive support and access to Barclays Eagle Labs.
2. The Eagle Labs Global Connect: Female Founders programme, powered by Commonwealth Ventures, gives businesses the opportunity to learn from Silicon Valley veterans. The two-week programme has been designed to teach Start-ups the fundamentals of raising early stage, institutional funding in the US, through a series of tailored webinars.
