20 companies innovating in mental health 🧠; What Roe v. Wade decision means for femtech investment ⚖️💸; Why Women's Pain Isn't Taken as Seriously as Men's + more
Biweekly newsletter about the latest news and updates on innovation and diversity in wearable tech, health tech, and femtech space.
Happy Tuesday, everyone! 🌞
The Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade may lead to increased investment in women's health and related tech. “This is going to drive innovation by necessity,” Goodwin Women’s Health & Wellness partner Delphine O’Rourke tells Axios. O’Rourke also expects more investment into safe-haven states like California. If you have a fertility clinic and “can absorb those patients that will be traveling, that’s an opportunity,” she notes, adding that clinics also are navigating how to ship embryos across state borders.
“Innovation will not stop: the overturning of Roe v. Wade will drive women’s health and femtech innovation by necessity, and with that will come an increase in investment in the sector. From women’s health-dedicated investment funds to startups focused on postpartum depression, embryo quality, and educational offerings, the private sector will continue to pursue women’s health solutions! Working together, we will continue to drive innovation to improve the health of every woman!”

Thank you for tuning in this Tuesday, happy reading! Marija & Anja 💌
